I live in Gore in the lower South Island. The nearest wine region is Central Otago which is still fairly new and small. It is however producing some good Pinot Noir's and also some reasonable Chardonnay's and Riesling's. It has a climate of extremes which makes it a challenge for the growers and wine makers. I have an interest in all varieties and am always keen to try and learn about wines from any region around the world.
