I am the overseer of an new 80 acre vineyard being established near Canowindra. It will be expanded by another 140 acres next year and will produce Shiraz, Cabernet, Merlot, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

My experience mainly comes from a small family vineyard and winery, called Glenfinlass Wines, near Wellington (Central Western NSW), but I have experience working around the Canberra region as well.

Local Notes

The Cowra region is part of the newly defined Central Ranges viticultural zone which spans from Mudgee to Forbes, including Cowra and Orange. This area covers a wide range of elevation and soil types and has reliable winter-spring rainfall.
